The Conahy Under-22 camogie team were narrowly defeated after a titanic battle with Piltown in the Gaeltec Roinn A semi-final in Piltown on Sunday morning 12th Dec. The home side started the better with two early goals, but Conahy soon settled and responded well with points from Emma Mulhall, Danielle Morrissey and Molly O'Dornan and a goal from Katie Brennan. This left Piltown 2-5 to 1-5 ahead at the half-time break. Piltown looked like they were all set for victory as they led by 3-8 to 1-8 at the second half water break, but Conahy fought back superbly in the final quarter with three goals from Amy Brennan (2) and a Danielle Morrissey 21 yard free. However, Piltown responded well with their fourth goal to hold out for a 4-12 to 4-8 victory. Well done to all the players involved on a great performance.
